| James was born 8 years after the end of the Civil War to ex-slaves. He’s the last of a dieing breed. He was a Buffalo Soldier by the time he was 15, and the 9th cavalry’s chief scout and tracker by 20. He’s a human blood hound; James can track a man by the trail from his shadow. James last mission for the 9th was tracking down the members of the last free band of Cherokee; women, children and the old. He had talked them into giving up and going back to the reservation, when his officer opened up with the 20 pounder, killing all but James and the tribe’s shaman. The Shaman put a curse on James; the curse was he could not die until he atones for the killing. By the time he was 30, he was working for Pinkerton National Detective Agency. As a Pinkerton’s man it was his job to hunt down the ones, no one could track down; he was good at his job. On his 40th birthday he received a letter from the Attorneys of John Lonefeather, the Lord of Bowler. James was the last of the Lonefeather line. (James’ father was the illegitimate son of the last Lord Bowler) Over night James became a millionaire, and moved to England, to live the life of the new Lord of Bowler. |
